MORO is a small, design-led landscape studio focused on early-phase thinking and place-led strategy. Founded by Jono Marshall, the studio brings together project-specific teams to work across diverse contexts, both locally and internationally.

We collaborate with clients and design partners to define the identity of places early, ask the right questions, and shape ideas that are thoughtful, grounded and enduring.

Each project team is built around shared values: curiosity, clarity, and a deep respect for context and collaboration.

What we do

Shaping the foundations

Shaping the foundations

MORO Studio works at the intersection of landscape architecture, spatial strategy, and contextual master planning, often entering projects before the brief is fully defined to help distil intent, frame opportunity, and set direction.

Our strength lies in the formative stages, where design identity and strategic clarity take shape. For international projects, we typically lead through design development, collaborating with local partners who carry the work into documentation and delivery. In these roles, we often continue as design guardians, providing oversight and safeguarding intent at key milestones.

For selected local projects, we offer full service through to construction, maintaining the same design rigour across all phases.
